Thao Vu Photography is a team of 2 photographers: Thao (female) and Duy (male). We’ve been friends since elementary school and have great synergy in our working relationship. Our deep passion and love for photography stems from our long habits of attaching a camera to our hips wherever we go. Whether it be a wedding, engagement, birthday, family event or new born–allow us to capture the detailed, spontaneous, candid, and small moments that will be remembered and cherished for a lifetime.

Mika & Wade’s Wedding

Mika and Wade’s wedding took place on a beautiful mid June morning at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa. Everything about this place is spectacular, so fitting for such a perfect couple! The service is top notch, the food is scrumptious, and the venue itself is simply amazing. I myself attended a wedding here before becoming a professional photographer and was so blown away by it all that knew I had to come back some day to shoot a wedding. Thanks to Mika and Wade I got my wish! Check out their fabulous day!!

Everlyn & JoJo’s Engagement Shoot

After riding thru some horrible LA traffic we finally made it to The Getty on a beautiful Saturday evening to shoot Everlyn and JoJo. These two were quite shy but eventually got into the groove of being seasoned models to show the camera what their love is all about. Their outfits were uber cute, coordinated, and popped. Everlyn’s hair and make-up was simply impeccable. Watch out for their wedding this coming Labor Day! It’s gonna be awesome.

Mika & Wade’s Engagement Shoot

We had Mika and Wade’s engagement shoot in beautiful Laguna Beach back in early May. The weather was great, the beach was scenic as always and the couple was a bit shy at first, but they warmed up to the camera fairly quickly. Good thing we have these sessions so that our couples know what to expect on their wedding day. These two are so sweet to each other and you can see their deep love for one another from their big chummy smiles just being in each others’ presence. Can’t wait to show you guys their fabulous wedding day photos at the Turnip Rose in Newport from mid June which are already done but will be posted at a later date. Enjoy these ones for now.
